What you need to know about Julian…
I created The Hawkhurst Bread Shed in 2018 – I spotted a gap in the market for high quality sandwiches when I owned a village shop selling sandwiches and they just weren’t good enough. I realised I could do better and actually supply others in the same boat. It’s really good to employ a number of local people, some of whom are even family members. I’m hands on – getting up early to load the vans and, as a people person, I love meeting people so I’m always out and about looking after my retailers.

Favourite Sandwich
Either Brie, Chutney & Rocket or a Cheese Ploughman’s… but I can always be swayed towards one of our hand-made tuna pastas.
What you need to know about Lauren…
I started working here after graduating from University having obtained a BA Hons in Business Management. My goal and ambition is to drive the business forward alongside my Dad in order to develop The Hawkhurst Bread Shed into the business it deserves to be. My passion for managing a team has enabled me to excel in my career and I’m excited to see what the future holds. In my spare time, I love catching up with friends and being at the yard with my horses.

Favourite Sandwich
I confess I do indulge in a daily simple Cheese & Cucumber sandwich on Multiseed bread.
What you need to know about Tracey…
I’m the pasta queen and I happily work at The Hawkhurst Bread Shed. Before this I was a Cook but I thoroughly enjoy preparing lovely pastas and salads alongside the thousands of sandwiches. On my days off I bake cakes (to feed the team!) – yes, I’m a feeder, so I’m in the right profession! I have two dogs so lots of walks in the countryside and, if time allows, a spot of gardening.
